Maximal minimalismMinimalism is taking the lead. This year?s fall/winter season is characterized by a limited number of basic colours ? basically comprising various shades of black and grey. The cut is simple, the look is clean. Rich fabrics compensate for the simplicity of colours: you can choose from an abundance of silk, cashmere, lightweight wool and soft cotton, velour and leather, as well as fur. Select the few required accessories with great care, and complete the look with elegant black leather or velour ankle boots.
Pale winter paletteAs if seen through a filter, the colours of the season are soft and delicate. Besides the dim version of pink and plum, which have been so popular recently, new colours ? petrol blue and moss green ? appear on the fall/winter palette. Either you combine them with pure black, grey, and the again fashionable dark blue to brighten up the base colours, or you combine colour without the basic colours. Your personal colour selection will always cheer you up in foggy and snowy winter mornings.
Check out the chequeredChequered clothes are flying high in the casual style of this season. Look for anything with squares on it: hats, scarves, women?s blouses, men?s jackets, skirts and coats. Your fall/winter wardrobe cannot be complete without your own black and white scarf, or traditional tartan patterned skirt. Be careful though when you combine clothes made of different kinds of chequered fabrics. Beige, tobacco or black velour ankle boots will perfectly match your new outfit.
Oversized knittingKnitted pieces are constantly present in our wardrobe, but they come into special focus this season. Both men and women can feel comfortable and stylish in oversized knitted pullovers made of lightweight wool and cashmere. Hand-knitted garbos, or V-necks can either be monochrome or colourfully jacquard, with stripes, and lace pattern. Wear them with sporty cord trousers, a pair of jeans, or high-waisted, midcalf skirts, plus sporty boots.
